About the partnership
Who we are
The Congolese Health Partnership (CHP) is a collaborative effort between the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa, the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), and leaders in the Congolese community in Johnson County, Iowa.
What we do
We help immigrant and refugee families by providing education and support to help them overcome health care obstacles, including transportation, language, cultural differences, and difficulty navigating a complex health system.
Our Mission
To improve the health and well-being of an evolving diverse community by building bridges through mutual education, empowerment and expansion of resources.
